I have to say I was quite entertained and enjoyed this movie. I especially love the "pseudo history" angle it makes use of - though I'm sure most mainstream scientists, historians, anthropologists and *especially* Egyptologists are sputtering their tea at the mere mention of this film . Personally I find so-called pseudo history fascinating and some theories and interpretations are IMO perhaps dismissed too quickly too often, and for mainstream scientists to dismiss such things out of hand demonstrates they are slaves to their own religio- ermm "belief system" and by refusing to objectively review and investigate evidence that falls outside generally accepted - oh wait, I'm commenting on a movie, not participating in a debate! LOL!!! Anyway, there's certainly plenty of action sequences for the action junkies, but enough cereberal stimulation for the brain power junkies from actually seeing a Graham Hancock-esque presentation of history that will delight the open minded and anger (but still allow the brainy crowd to list the endless conflicts with conventionally accepted history to keep everyone interested (save, perhaps, the poor saps who don't find such things interesting but have to listen to said discourses from their excited and/or enraged intellectual friends. All in all, I really enjoyed it! :-)

Sounds like a fascinating flick...and also an object lesson on how a project can be tampered with, diluted and screwed up royally. Too many cooks in that kitchen, the film a victim of its own success, getting hijacked by people with dollar signs for pupils. I've had some experience with Hollywood folks and it's always advisable to wear a tight belt because these assholes will try to steal your pants off unless you're very, very vigilant...
